Lavender Field Raffle

Updated: Jun 8, 2022

Finally the sunshine has arrived and after a very strange year with so many restrictions, now is the perfect opportunity for you to get outside with your family and perhaps update your family photos. And what better location than Castle Farm Lavender fields in Shoreham?!

We're so thrilled to be working with both Castle Farm and Sarah Hart Photography to help raise funds for our work at Baby Umbrella, and offer the opportunity for a few families to receive some beautiful family portraits this summer, as well as the chance to have a family picnic, surrounded by the beautiful lavender fields.

We are excited to be able to raffle off five family picnic sessions (up to 4 people), kindly gifted to us by Castle Farm; and Tonbridge photographer, Sarah Hart Photography, is generously donating mini photoshoot sessions also in the lavender fields at Castle Farm, Shoreham, for us to raffle off to six lucky families.

That’s a total of 11 prizes up for grabs!

Each mini photography session will last 30 minutes and Sarah is also including 1 digital image, completely free, from the session. Approximately a week after your session, you'll receive a small gallery of 10-12 beautifully edited images in an online gallery to choose from. You can also make further purchases, and a whopping 10% off your purchase will be donated by Sarah Hart Photography to Baby Umbrella:

Digital Images:

Additional digital images - £25 per image

Five digital images - £100

Ten digital images - £180

Prints:

10x8” print - £20

7x5” print - £15

To be in with a chance of winning one of these amazing prizes, click here to buy your tickets and view our T&Cs. Tickets cost just £2 each. Raffle closes at 11:30am on Friday 18th June.

What to wear

Summer dresses, t-shirts or short sleeve shirts and shorts will all look lovely in the lavender blooms. Do be aware, that there will be bees present and so for younger children it may be best to make sure you have a cardigan to cover their arms if they are at all unsure about being the bees being around them.

Colour wise, whites, greys, pale blues, lemons and pale pinks will all look beautiful against the lavender. Whilst your outfits as a family do not need to match, do try to keep to wearing colours that work together.

The importance of family images of your walls

There's always a million excuses that we can find to shy away from being in photos with our children. But did you know that you actually improve your child's sense of self-worth and belonging when you hang your family portraits on the wall? By mums making a conscious effort to exist in your family images you are teaching your children self-worth. If your children see you value yourself enough to be in photos, they are far more likely to grow up valuing themselves. And what mummy doesn’t want to give that gift to her children?
